Hurling and Netball Competitions!

22nd May 2022

Our hurlers and Netballers were both invited to local competitions on Friday 20th May. The girls travelled to Drumquin Primary School to take part in a Netball tournament. They played their hearts out, winning all their games and progressing to the final! Unfortunately they were up against a very strong Holy Family team, but were delighted to receive their silver medals! Well done girls!πŸ‘πŸ₯ˆπŸ˜Š

Thank you to St. Joseph’s for the invitation to the event and hospitality and to Mrs Morgan who prepared the girls so well for the competition.

Our boys travelled to Eire Og pitch in Carrickmore for the Cumman na mBunscol Tyrone Hurling finals. They played some wonderful hurling, progressing to a semi-final against a very strong Carrickmore Primary School who were eventually crowned County Champions. Some fantastic skills on show boys, you should be extremely proud of the way you all played today.  πŸ‘πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
Thanks to Gerard Fox for your assistance with the team, Mr O’Neill and all the Ulster Council coaches and referees for coordinating the Tournament and the invitation to attend.

Our sporting action continues in the incoming week, with our girls playing in the Camogie finals in Eglish on Thursday and all our footballers participating at the Beragh Tournament on Friday! Good luck everyone! β˜˜οΈπŸ€žπŸ‘
