Grandparents day
30th Jan 2026
On Friday 30th January we celebrated our first annual Grandparents day.
The Primary 5 children invited their grandparents to the school and we had a lovely morning with our celebration assembly.
The school council lead the assembly about the importance of Grandparents and we also remembered St. Brigid whose feast day occurs on 1st February. Some of the Primary 5 children stood up and read aloud about their grandparents and it was a very enjoyable experience.
Following the assembly, the children and their grandparents enjoyed some refreshments before helping each other to make some St. Brigid's crosses.
Thanks to all the staff here in the school for their help in preparing for this day. We are already looking forward to next year and celebrating these very important people in our lives.
