As part of our Eco-School initiatives, the children in P2 had a busy morning planting crocus bulbs in the plant boxes around our school. Emma and Reece from Fermanagh and Omagh District Council talked to the children about the importance of planting the bulbs correctly and they explained how the bulbs would grow over the Winter months.
Fortunately the weather was dry and the children enjoyed planting the crocus bulbs. They were amazed at how small the bulbs were and they used trowels and spades to dig holes to accommodate lots of bulbs. We look forward to seeing the flowers in early Spring!
